Bonnie made landfall Friday between Key Largo and Miami, Fla., as a minimal tropical storm with squally showers and thunderstorms.
The system is moving fast and is relatively poorly organized as seen on local radar.
As of noon EDT the system was moving just south of Alligator Alley, westward along Route 41 over the Everglades. The storm is expected to be on the west coast of Florida late Friday afternoon.
People over South Florida and the Keys from West Palm Beach, westward to Tampa, southward to Key West can expect isolated and very short-term problems from flooding rain and gusty winds.
