i saw some cooking stuff. like sterno cans but bigger for 79 cents a piece.
is that a good price?
when i saw them i said nah, i'll just use the barbeque. but, now i'm thinking. on a cold winters day i could use them on top of my griddle indoors if i lost my electric during a nor easter. the othere thing i have done is put the griddle.a big flat piece of iron. on top of my heater and heated stuff up that way. not really cook. but heat up canned stuff is ok.
do you have bbq that uses the tanks? If you can spare the $40 go to one of those exchange stations and get an extra tank. it's good to have two of them.
getting my list together for that grocery run. I'm hoping to get a ride to the store this weekend. it will be my last chance to get a bunch of stuff because next week I have to take patient #1 for chemo... that means 3 doctor appointments -- tuesday morning, all day wednesday at the doc and then back on thursday for another appointment. then another long appointment on 10/6 and another one that week for labs and tests and then another long appointment with a specialist on 10/13...so I have to make good use of the trip this weekend.
if we're all still around after 10/7 (you know the bots' warning thing) I will try to make a costco run the week of the 13th
I've played with candle making a time or two but nothing more than dabbling in the art. I was just wondering if you ever tried using bee's wax for it. I have always read that bee's wax burns longer and cleaner that paraffin wax.
