what the government could do to ease the pain of recession

for the average american.


 The government is taking steps to head off a deep recession. They seem to be only taking steps to ease the pain for American banking systems rather then the American people though. A couple of things the Government could do to ease the pain for the average American caught up in this mess.


1. lower the voluntary retirement age with full SS benefits to 55 .

2. extend unemployment benefits to 1 year and add a provision to aid in mortgage and rent payments.

3. exclude companies that lay off personnel while still making a profit of any type of state , local, or federal tax discounts and grants.


4. remove any tax relief to corporations eliminating American jobs and replacing them with jobs over seas .




These steps would relieve employment anxiety, add cash to the system where it is really needed and help people to stay in homes till this disaster burns itself out.
