i find myself desiring solitude more and more The cow

well, I ventured out today.  it was about 19-20 when I left at 1030.

I picked up some satsumas, some coupon items, and got myself a pair of slippers 50% off, plus another 15%, so I got them for about $10. not as warm as elk or moose with real wool fleece lining (the cool expensive ones Cabelas sells) but they are ankle high so they are warmer than just a basic slipper

it's so cold the computer in my outlander insists the tire pressure is low.  I had to deal with that when I was out.  the pressure is okay, I got it checked at a repair place, but the light is still on.  I have to take it to the dealer for it's yearly inspection and an oil change soon...maybe next week...if the light is still on the dealer can reset it.  mitsubishi doesn't give its computer clearance codes and such to places other than the dealer until the model is more like 5 years old.

then i went to costco.  costco was quite crowded in the store but there were only three checkouts going and the lines were moving fast-- no one's cart was full -- unusual for costco.

most of what i got at costco was for dad, so I took him all that stuff.

i couldn't wait to get home.

no one was rude or anything... in fact the guy at the repair shop didn't even charge me anything and the girls in costco who helped me were real nice

but I just felt an uneasiness... maybe it was just me feeling uneasy because i was cold and frustrated with the tire light thing, but i just felt an uneasiness

i just wanted to be home

I was talking to a guy in work. we both agreed that there is one bright side to this recession. people and places that one would normally expect to get a screwing from seem to be giving people a free pass. Stickers and small repairs seem to be easier to come by without getting another expense some how added on. Kind of like they know we are all in this thing together.

of course, it could be just the sides being chosen for the coming social eruptions . You're more likely to get good treatment then a 2009 Cadillac driver is going to get at this point. The cow

i hope that's true when i go to the dealer for service-- dealer is usually always higher

i told you the story i heard from my two laborer neighbors about guys doing cash jobs and alittle cash-alittle barter jobs.  i got a guy to put up heavy duty garage door sealers on my wood doors for cost of the moulding and a bag of votives.

i always taught the children i helped raise that it is better to sell a thousand loaves of bread for $1 to a thousand people than to sell one loaf of bread to one person for $1,000

the guy with a thousand customers employs a few helpers and keeps himself working...if he loses one customer, he's fine

the other guy loses one customer and he's broke

OMG now the prophet is saying the military is building underground facilities in the himalayas
