Patients with H1N1 virus mutation
Four patients at Duke University Hospital were found to have been infected with the H1N1 mutation that caused a resistance to antiviral drugs during a six-week period. Five patients in Wales have also recently been found to be carrying the H1N1 virus in a Tamiflu-resistant strain. In addition, three patients in Norway were infected with a severe form of the H1N1 virus that attacks the respiratory system more severely.
