We always knew there would be a day. Funny thing. I really didn't know that so many people out there don't have a clue that there was a Pandemic Alert system. When I found out today that H1N1 was confirmed in my State and then heard that we were at level 5 I went to a few people in work and told them. One person with young children had no idea what it means. Another , who's wife is a nurse also asked what it means. They know there is the Swine Flu but, they are also becoming complacent thinking that it really only kills Mexicans. People seem to be relying on the system to protect them. I don't think that they realize that the system only survives because individuals keep it alive. If the system breaks down then they may be in for some hard times, for sure.
